All metals are plated and contain a brass core with a thin layer of the metal on the outside. This means that it will tarnish over time but I use plated materials to keep prices lower so I am able to make affordable jewelry. I do make sure that all the metals are nickel fee since that is the most common allergy. To prevent tarnishing to happen quickly please store in a dry area and not in direct light. Use of oils, creams, perfumes etc may affect longevity and avoid contact with water. Clean with a soft cloth or cotton cloth, do not use cleaning products on your jewelry.
